FLORIDA POPULATION GROWTH – Florida had two cities among the 10 fastest-growing cities in the U.S., according to the latest U.S. Census Bureau population estimates. Port St. Lucie ranked third for fastest growth rate among large cities (100,000 or more population), while Cape Coral came in fourth.
CITIZENS PROPERTY INSURANCE – A property insurer should have enough cash to pay claims in the event of a major storm. Citizens Property Insurance announced Tuesday that it lined up about $2 billion in credit and bonds to pay hurricane claims if needed.
